
JENE BUTLER
Dr. Jene Butler is seeking re-election to Murphy City Council Place 6 and is the current Deputy Mayor Pro Tem. She was appointed Deputy Mayor Pro Tem in 2021, 2022, and 2024. She has lived in Murphy since 2012 with her husband of 19 years Joseph Butler Sr and her two children that both attend Wylie ISD schools. She became involved in the community by joining the Parks and Recreation board in 2017. She was Chair of the Parks and Recreation board in 2019. In 2019 she ran for and was elected to Murphy City Council Place 6.
